Birth FAQs
Why hire a birth photographer?
The photos from your labor and delivery are a beautiful reminder of one of the most important days of your life. Allowing a photographer to handle this important task
will not only free up Dad or your other support person to be more available to you during your labor and delivery, but it will also ensure that his or her participation is
captured on film. Dad won’t have to worry about taking photos, so he’ll be better able to enjoy the moment right along with you. He can be a more active participant
on a day worthy of documenting!
What’s Included..
All births include time, travel, unlimited coverage of labor and delivery, and an edited CD of anywhere between 75-125 images in black and white and color. Albums,
canvases, birth announcements and slideshows are also available for an additional charge.
I love to get together with my moms and dads to be somewhere around 35 weeks and introduce myself in person before the big day, we can also go over what I do
during a typical birth and it’s a great opportunity to go over your birth plan and ask me any questions you might have.
What if I go into labor at 2am? Will you still be there?
Absolutely, I am on call 24 hours.
What if I am having a c-section?
Every birth experience is worth photographing. While it depends on the hospital you’re delivering at whether I can be in the operating room with you or not, there are
still many important moments I’m able to capture during your stay.
There are certain things I do not want photographed, is that OK?
Definitely, we will go over exactly what you are and are not comfortable with and you may ask any other questions you might have when we get together.
How many images will you take?
Each birth experience is unique and different. A longer labor and delivery will result in more images. On average, couples receive around 75-125 finished images on a
